Bible Study

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Our youth meet in Sunday School classes from 9:40-10:20 a.m.  This is during our second service at 9:30 a.m. Adults meet at 11:00 a.m. for bible study in our comfortable Hearth Room. All are welcome. In our adult study, we are currently using a bible survey approach, studying both Old and New Testament passages under the heading of one major theme like “Covenant in the Bible” or “Community in the Bible.”

SURVEY COURSES

“The Divine Drama” bible study survey course has been a part of our bible study experience in 2009. We survey both the Old and New Testaments to get the “big picture” of scripture. We meet once a week over a period of 30 weeks and all are welcome.

An introduction to “The Divine Drama” is “The Bible for Busy People.”  This one-day workshop is offered annually to the congregation – even more often if there is interest.  It serves as an excellent “sampler” for those who aren’t sure where to begin in bible study.

MONTHLY BIBLE STUDY

The women of our congregation participate in the ELCA Women’s Bible study offered through the magazine Lutheran Woman Today. We meet the first Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Hearth Room. All are welcome.
